Meet the BluePrint Engines GM 383 c.i.d. BP38318CTC1D: a dyno-tested, carbureted, deluxe dressed stroker long-block built to deliver 436 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. Starting with a new BluePrint cast-iron 4-bolt-main block (4.000-inch bore, one-piece rear main seal), it uses a 3.750-inch cast-steel crank, 5.700-inch rods with high-strength bolts, and hypereutectic pistons for a pump-gas-friendly 10.0:1 compression ratio. Aluminum performance heads (64cc chambers, 2.02/1.60 valves) and a blueprint engines 383hydraulic roller cam (.544/.555 lift, 230/236 @ .050, 110 LSA) sharpen throttle response and durability.
Because it’s “dressed,” you get key bolt-ons like a blueprint 383 crate engine dual-plane intake, 750 cfm carb, HEI distributor, plugs and wires, valve covers, oil pan, timing cover, harmonic balancer, mechanical fuel pump, and long-style water pump—so installation is blueprint 383 engine straightforward and fast. Externally balanced and configured for a mechanical fuel pump, it suits classic ls3 crate engine small-block swaps. Recommended 91-octane fuel and 10-16 initial timing help 383 blueprint engines reproduce the included dyno sheet performance.

What does “deluxe dressed long-block” include?
It typically comes with major top-end and front-drive essentials installed (intake, carb, distributor, water pump, oil pan, valve covers, harmonic balancer, plugs/wires), reducing extra parts sourcing and build time.
What else will I need to run it in my car or truck?
You’ll generally still need vehicle-specific items like headers/exhaust, fuel lines, cooling hoses, a starter, and the correct flywheel/flexplate and torque converter/clutch setup for your transmission.
